At the Arkadelphia Seventh-day Adventist Church, we believe that worship is a universal language. We were designed to worship. However, we also recognize the beauty and comfort of hearing the Gospel in one’s own mother tongue. To serve our diverse community, we offer a variety of service formats designed to ensure everyone feels at home, regardless of the language they speak or their age.
Weekly Services in English and Spanish
Every Sabbath, we provide full traditional services in both English and Spanish. These services allow our members to dive deep into scripture and song within their primary language groups.
- English Service: A reverent, traditional service where generations worship side-by-side. We focus on the timeless beauty of hymns and deep, biblically-centered teaching that provides spiritual nourishment for everyone from grandparents to grandchildren.
- Spanish Service: A warm and welcoming traditional service that honors our heritage through scripture and song. It is a family-oriented environment where the "church family" truly feels like home, fostering a sacred space for all ages to grow together in faith.
The Best of Both Worlds: Our Monthly Bilingual Services
Twice a month, we break down the walls of language altogether. We gather as one body for our Bilingual Sabbath Services. By blending both languages into a single program, we celebrate our unity in Christ and strengthen the bonds of our church family.
Youth-Led Bilingual Worship
One of our most popular monthly events is our monthly Youth-Focused Bilingual Service. We believe the church isn't just for the next generation—it is led by them.
In this high-energy service, you’ll see:
- Youth Leadership: From the pulpit to translating to the audio-visual booth, our young people take the lead.
- Multi-Generational Appeal: While the energy is geared toward the youth, members of all ages find inspiration in the passion of our young generation.
- Language Blending: Seamless transitions between English and Spanish that reflect the bilingual reality of our local youth.
Unified Adult & Family Bilingual Service
Our second bilingual service of the month is an Adult-Focused Unified Service. While this service follows a more traditional liturgical structure, it remains a family affair where children sit and worship alongside their parents. This service is a true collaboration, organized jointly by members from both our English and Spanish congregations and incorporating aspects of worship of importance to both cultures. It serves as a powerful monthly reminder that while our languages may differ, our mission and our Savior are the same.
